Not every band starts with a plan.
Arising Rebellion started with a riff, a vision, and patience.
In 2013, guitarist Hans Bijland began what would eventually become Arising Rebellion — slowly writing, shaping, and holding off until the right moment. That moment came in 2022, when Enzo (vocals) and Lorenzo (drums) joined in to take things further. The following year brought in Marijn (bass) and Alexander (lead guitar), turning the project into a fully formed band.
What followed was a period of refining the sound — not flashy, not formulaic, but heavy, groove-oriented, and sharply written. The band’s roots lie in the groove metal tradition but stretch beyond it, drawing from bands like Lamb of God, DevilDriver and Pantera, all while keeping the focus on structure, rhythm, and impact.
Live, the band hits with raw heaviness. No polished stage show, just five people locked into one sound.
This is Arising Rebellion. Built slowly. Played loud.
